In an effort to help 100 local teenagers between the ages of 13 and 17 make correct choices in the future, the Yuma County Juvenile Justice Center hosted its fifth annual Youth Summit on Saturday morning.

The teens who attended are all serving terms of either standard or intensive probation after being convicted of breaking one or more laws.

The summit, sponsored by the Community Advisory Board, was held at the First Assembly of God Church.

It featured Al Duncan, a motivational speaker for at-risk youth and troubled young people who is an award-winning columnist and internationally recognized authority on youth development and empowerment. He has delivered motivational speeches to more than a million at-risk youths around the world...
